Longtime local artist, Brian Trybus utilizes wood, metal, concrete, stone, and other materials to form sculptural pieces. The artist emulates a variety of well known abstract artists. With his work being most similar to Brancusi (known as the first modern abstract sculptor). This piece has been hand shaped to create a textured shape that could be envisioned as a moon, a half a coin, even a fish….the choice is yours. The local harvest wood has been ebonized using a centuries old technique for dying. The metal has been hand textured and stained to give a rustic antique look then alcohol dyed to provide the teal color. The artist no longer titles his works, feeling art is truly in the eye of the beholder.
